How I packed for a girl’s trip

This. Mama. Is. Tired.

Working with Global Affairs, my fashion hustle, 3 kiddos and a husband is so rewarding but can also be so stressful. This past week end, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity slip away to Toronto with 4 fabulous Ottawa fashionistas.

Packing for a girl’s trip with influencers gave even this gal a bit of anxiety, but at the end of the day I told myself what I tell my clients: be true to you – the most fabulous version of you! None of my looks were over $100 – I try my best to have affordable outfits when possible…

We started the trip off right thanks to Via Rail. Riding in business class was the perfect way to kick off the week end.

I wore a pair of athleisure pants and flats to be comfortable for the train ride.
I paired my outfit with a vegan leather moto jacket (love draping it over my shoulders). I completed my look with these H&M tinted sunglasses.

Checking into Hotel X made us feel like total royalty. I can’t thank Hotel X for the warm reception, luxurious accommodations and comfortable beds (SUCH a bonus for this tired mama).

Thank you for such a warm reception, Hotel X
We had a ton of fun with those balloons. I am wearing a button front linen dress from Winners. Super lightweight, but wrinkled easily.

Dining on the rooftop at Maxx’s Kitchen after a fun swim could not have been more perfect.  We ordered several different platters to share –  is there any better way to have a dinner among a group of friends? The passion fruit gelato for dessert took me back to my time spent on piazzas in Italy.

Jodie and I at the Hotel X Rooftop pool. I bought a monokini from Winners and a coverall for a stylish but affordable pool outfit.
I packed a bodycon dress from It was $50, and rolled up into a ball. I pared it with rose gold shoes (that literally go with everything), and an animal print clutch large enough to carry all my essentials.

The next day we changed the scenery by taking a walk through the Distillery district, followed by aps & drinks at Lavelle before heading home.

Walking around Toronto in this romper from BeModish at Bayshore, and Steve Madden block heal sandals.
I felt kinda glamorous in this Vince Camuto one piece and ALDO sunhat

So grateful to have spent this time with 4 uniquely different #Ottawa ladies. Their fashion choices were so true to their own style, and so awesome to see women hustling while looking fab.

How do you pack for your girl’s trip away? What gives you the most anxiety?
